Taken in May 2022 after a heavy rainstorm near Ceibwr Bay in Pembrokeshire one of my favourite places. The water comes down from high in the Preseli Hills through the rivers and streams before it forms many rivulets across the pebbles and shingle on its journey out into the Irish Sea. It was the vibrant colours of the pebbles and stones shining like jewels in the strong sunlight which drew me in. I spent the afternoon happily sinking my knees into the soggy, slippery sand and shingle holding my camera firmly with both hands (the ground was too wet and soft for a tripod) to get the shots I wanted. I still had the gushing sound of the water racing towards the sea in my ears late into the evening.
